Express Service is Nissan's no-appointment option for routine maintenance. Within Express Service hours, no booking is needed for oil and filter changes, engine air filters and in-cabin microfilters, tire rotation and balance, battery testing and replacement, brake work, shocks and struts, new tires and wipers, or factory scheduled maintenance.

For work outside the Express Service list, such as diagnostics, book an appointment online and the service team will reach out to confirm it. The service department also keeps Saturday morning hours.

Nissan offers Express Service only at participating dealers, and its own dealer listing marks Auffenberg Nissan as one of them.

Nissan recommends Genuine Nissan Motor Oil 0W-20, the factory fill on most models, and every Nissan oil change includes a new oil filter. Nissan builds its Genuine oil filters with an anti-drainback valve, which holds oil in the filter while the engine is shut off and helps cut wear at start-up.

You can choose the standard oil recommended for your vehicle or a premium option. Auffenberg Nissan offers Genuine Nissan synthetic blend, Genuine Nissan full synthetic and Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic, and your advisor can confirm the grade your engine calls for.

Nissan says that when you use Genuine Nissan Motor Oil 0W-20, you can go the full mileage or time frame recommended in your owner's manual.

Many current Nissan models, including the Sentra, Kicks and the 1.5-liter turbo Rogue, use an Oil Control System that calculates the oil change interval from driving conditions. Nissan's schedule lists replacing the oil and filter every 10,000 miles or 12 months on the 2026 and 2027 Sentra and Kicks, and every 7,500 miles or 12 months on the 2026 Rogue with the 1.5-liter turbo engine.

Demanding driving brings the reminder up sooner, including repeated trips under five miles, stop-and-go traffic in hot weather, extended idling or low-speed driving, frequent braking or mountain driving and sustained high speeds. Once the reminder appears, Nissan says to change the oil within two weeks or 500 miles, and your owner's manual lists the schedule for your exact model.

If the oil reminder resets before the oil has been changed, the 2027 Sentra manual says to change the oil within six months or 5,000 miles of the last oil change.

The inspection comes with each Express visit at no charge. Technicians check brake pad thickness, rotor condition and brake fluid, tire tread depth and pressure, battery capacity, lights, wipers and under-hood fluids, and they look underneath for leaks and wear on parts such as CV boots and tie rods.

Your service advisor then goes over the results with you and points out anything that needs attention. If the capacity test shows your battery is weak, the service team can install a Genuine Nissan replacement battery, which carries an 84-month limited warranty with free replacement for the first 24 months when a Nissan dealer installs it and pro-rated coverage after that.

While your Nissan is in, your advisor can also tell you whether any factory scheduled maintenance is coming due.
