Intelligent AWD is standard, the front end gets its own fascia and mesh grille with Lava Red accents, and a black tubular rack with built-in cross bars, rated at 220 lb, rides on the roof. Its 17-inch alloys are painted dark and wear Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires. Backing up that look are an off-road-tuned suspension, Hill Descent Control, and an HD Intelligent Around View Monitor featuring Off-Road View and Moving Object Detection, plus a temporary spare tire.

Inside, the grade-exclusive leatherette has water-repellent centers Nissan describes as inspired by ballistic nylon, plus contrast stitching, and the front seats are heated. Its semi-aniline leather-appointed seating is quilted and perforated, offered in Charcoal or Chestnut, and the front seats and steering wheel are heated; the driver's seat stores memory settings, the front passenger gets 4-way power adjustment, and ambient lighting lets occupants pick a color. Twin 12.3-inch displays with Google built-in, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, and Bose Premium Audio, 10 speakers strong, cover the tech. Set its Divide-N-Hide Cargo System to the low position and the space behind the second row grows to 36.5 cubic feet.

Safety hardware peaks on this grade. Platinum is the only Rogue with Traffic Sign Recognition and a front center airbag, and it adds front and rear sonar plus an Around View Monitor in its HD Enhanced Intelligent (3D) form. Outside, its 19-inch wheels mix dark paint with machined faces, and it is the one grade offered in two-tone paint, topped with a Super Black roof.
