2027 Nissan Z Horsepower, Engine, Performance Features
The 2027 Nissan Z remains true to its sports car roots with a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout and a responsive VR30DDTT 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. In Sport and Performance trims, this engine delivers 400 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 350 lb-ft of torque from 1,600 to 5,600 rpm.
Drivers looking for the highest-output model can choose the 2027 Nissan Z NISMO, which increases performance to 420 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 384 lb-ft of torque from 2,000 to 5,200 rpm. A six-speed close-ratio manual transmission is part of the Z lineup, while Sport and Performance trims also offer a nine-speed automatic. Z NISMO models are available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a NISMO-tuned nine-speed automatic.

2027 Nissan Z Horsepower and Engine
V
At the heart of the 2027 Nissan Z is an advanced twin-turbocharged V6 engineered with direct gasoline injection, aluminum block and head construction, and Nissan’s Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System. The engine features a 3.0-liter displacement, an 86.0 x 86.0 mm bore and stroke, a 10.3 compression ratio, and a maximum engine speed of 6,800 rpm.
For 2027, Nissan also updated the Z lineup with fuel tank revisions designed to support more consistent fuel delivery during demanding driving. These changes help keep fuel positioned near the pump during sustained high-G cornering, which can benefit engine performance during spirited or track-focused driving.
