Power comes from the VR30DDTT 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. In Sport and Performance trims, this engine produces 400 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, while the 2027 Nissan Z NISMO raises output to 420 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 384 lb-ft of torque from 2,000 to 5,200 rpm.

Sport and Performance grades can be equipped with a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. The Z NISMO is available with either a six-speed manual or a NISMO-tuned nine-speed automatic. The cabin of the 2027 Nissan Z places key information and controls directly in front of the driver. A 12.3-inch fully digital instrument display includes Normal, Enhanced, and Sport modes, allowing the driver to adjust the look and feel of the cockpit.

A traditional three-gauge cluster remains part of the Z experience, displaying turbocharger boost, turbocharger turbine speed, and voltage. Sport and Performance versions of the 2027 Nissan Z receive updated front-end styling inspired by earlier Nissan performance cars. A body-color bar divides the grille, while a new Z hood emblem replaces the former Nissan badge at the front.
